Game Volt to debut Carnival Games: The Supercharged Funfair at IAAPA Expo Europe

Visitors will experience how Game Volt transforms individual midway games into one connected, competitive and technology-enhanced attraction

Game Volt will debut Carnival Games: The Supercharged Funfair at IAAPA Expo Europe, giving visitors their first opportunity to experience the company’s new approach to the traditional amusement midway.

Appearing at booth S3627, Carnival Games combines the familiarity and accessibility of classic funfair games with the technology, connectivity and competitive features expected from a modern social gaming experience.

Visitors will be able to play a selection of games from the wider Carnival Games portfolio and experience the complete connected journey, from digital onboarding through to dynamic scoring, action replays and a shared competitive leaderboard.

Rather than operating as a collection of standalone games, each Carnival Games unit contributes to a wider social experience. Players can compete across multiple challenges, build their score and follow their position on the leaderboard as they move through the midway.

The technology underpinning the concept also allows the games to respond to one another, introducing new opportunities for social tournaments, bonus mechanics and evolving gameplay. This gives operators the recognisable appeal of traditional midway attractions while creating a more cohesive experience that encourages friendly competition, group participation and repeat play.

Matt Daly, Head of Partnerships at Game Volt, said:

“Midway games have been bringing people together for generations, but they have traditionally operated as separate experiences. Carnival Games takes everything guests already understand and enjoy about the midway and connects it into one competitive social journey.

“At IAAPA Expo Europe, visitors will not simply be playing a handful of individual games. They will onboard as a player, compete across different challenges, watch their scores build and see how they compare on the leaderboard. It is the complete experience, and that is where the concept really comes to life.

“For operators, it offers the best of both worlds. The games are familiar, intuitive and easy for guests to pick up, but the technology adds a new layer of competition, replayability and shareable moments. It also gives venues the flexibility to choose the games, specifications and theming that work for their audience and available space.”

The Carnival Games portfolio brings together new game concepts and supercharged versions of familiar funfair favourites. Units can be selected and configured around the individual needs of a venue, allowing operators to create anything from a focused collection of games to a larger connected midway.

Game Volt’s modular approach also opens the concept to a wide range of locations, including family entertainment centres, competitive socialising venues, resorts, cruise ships, theme parks and hospitality destinations. Operators can explore different unit specifications and visual treatments, with bespoke theming available to complement an existing venue identity, original concept or licensed intellectual property.

Throughout IAAPA Expo Europe, the Game Volt team will be available to discuss venue requirements, recommended game combinations, technical specifications and theming opportunities. Attendees will also have the opportunity to secure production availability for Q1 and Q2 installations.

Daly added:

“IAAPA is the ideal opportunity for operators to see how the system works as a complete attraction and start shaping a Carnival Games line-up around their own venue. Whether they want a compact group of units or a fully themed social midway, we can help them understand what that could look like and lock in an installation window for the first half of the year.”

Carnival Games: The Supercharged Funfair will be available to experience at Game Volt booth S3627 throughout IAAPA Expo Europe.
